The payvider “best of both worlds” model aims to combine the highest value of payers with the highest value of providers. While the relationship between payers and providers has traditionally been adversarial, the payvider model is collaborative, seeking to deliver high quality care while managing costs and reducing risk. By rewarding positive clinical outcomes, the payvider model is value-based and is better for payers, providers and patients alike.
