The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) will increase focus on disease-specific models to improve care and reimbursement efficiency. Of the seven existing CMMI models, four are disease-specific, and CMMI is expected to release more models targeting disease states in 2025 in pulmonology, cardiology, oncology, obstetrics and gynecology, and urology.
